When President Lyndon B. Johnson declared the ‘War on Poverty’, it led to the passage of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 and the Community Action Movement. Community Action Marin, the county's largest social services agency, was founded in 1966. When I joined the agency in late 2017, the old tired logo and brand messaging was in dire need of an overhaul. To increase the agency's visibility, branding agency Good Stuff Partners was brought in to develop the new brand from the bottom up. With a bold new look, new positioning strategy, personality, tone of voice, and brand style guide finalized, the website launched in 2019.

The work of implementing the new brand was brought in-house to the small development team. Brand assets needed to be developed, custom photography, site signage, agency video, vehicle fleet design, program flyers, stationary, advertising, email newsletters, internal and external powerpoint presentations, event materials were a fraction of what was developed. Over the course of the next 5 years, I managed and executed the new brand marketing material, working with outside vendors when needed.
